Shot 0080 Cat Fur Sim v001
I set up a shot-by-shot cat fur simulation file in Houdini to prepare for the animation caches. This file includes places to read in the groom (from the groom file), the static skin, and the animated skin. Then I developed a workflow to bring the animation back to the origin for a faster simulation, then returning it back to the correct location.
